Potty Training 101 Still!
So I am still working on the potty training thing with my youngest. For the life of me I don’t recall my oldest boys being this difficult. I decided to try those pull up diapers that are suppose to feel wet to help aid in potty training. I am not mentioning brands as I am not dogging them they just aren’t working for me. But maybe I’m dense and missing the whole point of them. So far for me it’s only working as far as he tells me he peed and he needs changed. I am thinking it is suppose to deter them from wetting because they don’t like the cold wet feeling but for my little guy it’s not stopping him. Oh well I will give it some more time and keep hoping by time his birthday rolls around later this summer we have mastered the potty training basics.

Hey, how old’s your boy? Boys don’t train until late twos - three at least, often four and even five. I wouldn’t worry if I were you. If pullups are too expensive I’d just switch back to diapers.
You could try rewards. Every time he tells you he’s been, reward him with a cookie or a candy. Once he’s got the hang, try sitting him on the potty. If he’s okay with it that’s great, if he doesn’t like it, reward him for every time he sits for a short while. With my son it had to be in his diapers. He hated the potty, I don’t know why. He was nearly fully trained by 47 months.
Good luck!
My son just turned 3. I did go back to diapers since cheaper. We are still working on the potty training. At least now, he will sometimes take the diaper off and go to the potty chair on his own. It’s not on a consistent basis but better then before. Thanks for the advice.
