Carrot Cake

Carrot Cake

2 cups sifted flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
2 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
4 large eggs
1 1/2 cups oil
2 cups sugar
2 3/4 cups coarsely grated carrots
1 8 oz can crushed pineapple (drained)
3/4 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
1 cup shredded sweetened coconut

Household Tip: Smelly Garbage Disposal

You can use lemon peels and ice cubes to freshen the smell of your garbage disposal. 

Turn the cold water on and let it run.
Switch the disposal on.
Put lemon peels and ice cubes in disposal.

Lemon peels help remove the odors and the ice cubes help sharpen the blades and remove anything sticking to blades.
